WELCOME TO THE 2024 CASCADE EQUINOX WORK EXCHANGE APPLICATION PAGE!

Please read the important details below and then fill out the application.

General Requirements & FAQ

A. HOW MANY SHIFTS/HOURS DO I NEED TO WORK?
i. All WEXers are required to work 2-4 Shifts for a total of 12-16 hours in exchange for a ticket.
ii. Most shifts are four (4) hours long. There will also be limited eight-hour shifts available, mostly before and after the festival.
iii. There will be a variety of shifts in different departments available from Tuesday 9/17 through Tuesday, 9/24.

B. CAN I WORK EXTRA FOR AN RV/CAR CAMPING PASS?
We will have more information on this soon.

C. DO I HAVE TO PAY A DEPOSIT OR FEE?
i. YES. Once accepted, WEX participants are required to pay a $200 Deposit to complete the signup process.
ii. There will also be a $50 non-refundable Program Fee payable at the same time as your Deposit.
iii. You are required to pay the full amount ($200 Deposit + $50 Program Fee) when you submit your application. The deposit will be fully refunded minus card processing fees (about $10) upon satisfactory completion of the WEX work requirements.

D. WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON'T COMPLETE MY REQUIRED HOURS?
i. You will not receive a refund for your deposit.
ii. You may have your wristband cut and be ejected from the venue and campgrounds.
iii. You will not be allowed to participate in Work Exchange at any of our future events.
iv. If you need to miss a shift or will be late FOR ANY REASON, please notify the WEX Coordinator ASAP and we will do what we can to help you resolve your situation.

E. WHAT IF I ALREADY PURCHASED A TICKET/PASS?

F. WHAT IF I CAN'T AFFORD TO PAY THE DEPOSIT?

i. If you are a returning Cascade Equinox WEXer in good standing, participated in WEX at Gem & Jam or if the program fee is a barrier to your participation, we may be able to grant you a waiver.
ii. Approval is given on a case-by-case basis. Email wex@cascadeequinox.com with your request.
iii. Please note that we are unable to waive the $50 Program Fee. 

G. WHAT’S INCLUDED WITH WEX PARTICIPATION?

  • One (1) General Admission Ticket

  • Early Arrival Access to Campgrounds

  • Walk-in Camping (You must provide your own tent, bedding, etc.)

  • Access to exclusive WEX camping area (for walk-in camping ONLY)

  • Limited-Edition Gem and Jam WEX T-shirt

H. WHAT’S *NOT* INCLUDED WITH WEX PARTICIPATION?

  • Tents, sleeping bags or other camping equipment

  • Meals

  • General Admission Parking Impact Fee ($25 or FREE if you have three or more people in your vehicle on arrival)

I. WHEN DO I GET MY SCHEDULE?
You will receive your schedule once your application is accepted. We will process applications on a rolling basis. Please be patient as this can take quite some time, but if you are accepted, you are guaranteed a spot! If your application is not accepted we will refund your program fee and deposit in full.

J. CAN YOU HELP ME FIND SHIFTS THAT WORK FOR MY ACCESSIBILITY NEEDS?
YES! If you are a person with a disability or have other limitations, contact us at wex@cascadeequinox.com for assistance.

K. ARE MEALS INCLUDED?
Meals are NOT included with WEX participation. Be sure to bring food/snacks to your shift if you think you will get hungry. Meal breaks will be provided for 8-hour shifts.

L. CAN I WORK EXTRA SHIFTS TO EARN ANOTHER TICKET FOR MY PARTNER/HOMIE/GRANDMA?

M. WHEN CAN I ARRIVE ONSITE/SET UP CAMP?
i. All WEXers regardless of schedule can arrive onsite during our early admission hours on Thursday 9/19 from 10am-6pm (If you arrive later than 6pm you will not be able to enter the campgrounds until Friday morning)
ii. If you have a shift scheduled before Friday 9/20: (for example, Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday), you may arrive and set up camp before your shift.
  a. If your shift start time is before 4pm - you may arrive the day before between 10am and 6pm.
  b. If your shift start time is after 4pm - you may arrive and set up camp that day starting at 10am.
  c. Plan to arrive a minimum of four hours before your first shift to allow time for check-in and setting up camp. 

N. CAN I CONTINUE TO STAY ONSITE IF I AM WORKING AFTER THE FESTIVAL?
i. YES, you may continue to camp on Festival Grounds on days you are working after the festival.
ii. If your post-event shift ends before 6pm, you will need to leave the Fairgrounds property on the same day as your last shift, so plan accordingly.
iii. If your post-event shift ends at 6pm or later, you may camp for the night on Fairgrounds property and must leave before noon the following day.
